Enshrouded The Collector Quests Walkthrough

Written by Sarah-Maree

I tried keeping it sweet and simple, but some of the quests are more complex than others. If you see an error, please let me know, and I’ll work to fix it! All images used in this blog post are screenshots from the game Enshrouded.

SPOILER ALERT: There’s no way for me to avoid spoiling game play with the walkthrough.

NOTE: Content below is from just AFTER the Melodies of the Mire and Hollowed Halls Update - version number 558123. Content below is good for anything before September 13th, 2024. Content may still be relevant after September 13th, 2024 - but there may be gaps in the information below as more Lore and Quests were added by developers.

The Collector Quests

Ectoplasm Press For The Collector

Reaching Level 12 unlocked the dialogue “The Skulls Of Our Enemies” from The Collector. Since I already crafted the key from him, I completed the first part of this quest already. This will also unlock The Collector Quest: Finding Hollow Halls Artifacts and the Hollow Lore: The One Eyed Beasts 1/1 Information About The One-Eyed Beasts dialogue.

The next step is to head to the Revelwood Hollow Halls! Just remember, if you struggle to find it, a road will always lead you there, so seek out roads and see what adventure they’ll take you on! Or fly around and mountain chop until you reach it. Whatever makes you happy :)

TIP: You do have to pass through the enshrouded area in the whole Blackmire entrance. The leftmost path leads you up to this place. See, I can be nice!

TIP: This quest also pairs with the first part of The Collector Quest: Finding Hollow Halls Artifacts.

First Floor

Once you reach the inside of the halls (don’t forget your key!), the second part of the quest will be complete. Around that same time, you’ll likely spot a piece of Lore nestled in a cove by the stairs you just took.

TIP: This spot has the Hollow Lore: The Emptiness Sets In 3/3 I Curse Thee, Flame. You can also find the Hollow Lore: Hidden Crafting Recipes: 1/3 Listen To My Plan, Brothers further in the dungeon.

Now it’s time to descend to the first basement floor!

Basement Floor One

Barrier One

First up, it’s one of those spirit barriers! You’ll also notice two closed, large doors in this area. Behind each are the glowing barrier keys or keystones you seek.

Keystone One

Heading back for the door on the left, go ahead and open it up. You’ll need to enter the room and turn around to spot the grapple spot higher up. On the platform is the keystone you seek.

Keystone Two

Heading back to the ghostly barrier, there is a closed door on the right. Open it up, and head back to the far back of the room. There is a lower grapple spot near the table. From there, look toward the middle of the room and you’ll see a second grapple spot. Hop up there, jump across, and nab the second keystone. This will take down that ghostly wall.

Beyond The First Barrier

Head back to where the first barrier had been and pass through. When you walk forward, you may notice you have to drop down to the next level to continue.

Basement Floor Two

Dark Crystal Cluster – Artifact 1/3 Revelwood Hollow Halls

After jumping down, turn around. There is a gate to open!

Once you reach this spot (pictured below) in the dungeon, you may notice a strange wall. It’s a secret door. Open it, and you’ll have a chest to loot with your prize! But are you done? NO! It doesn’t even register on the quest! You have to place it on a special-made pedestal at your base before it even cares. Boooooo. But, you have it, so that’s half the battle. YAY!

TIP: For more on this, check out The Collector Quest: Finding Hollow Halls Artifacts.

Barrier Two

Besides the enemies, the first thing you may notice is that the door straight ahead has two symbols over it. You’ll need to smash those glyph buttons to open the door.

Right Door

Heading through the door on the right, you’ll quickly encounter a three-way split. Think of it like a square with a partial stick in the middle.

Large Dark Crystal – Artifact 2/3 Revelwood Hollow Halls

Before chasing the Lore on the right path, head left and start smashing vases along the left wall. There is a hidden door followed by a false room with a second hidden door. Snatch up the artifact to work on completing your collection!

Right Path

Heading back, do you see that glowing bit on the top right? LORE! Head up the stairs, turn around, and read that Hollow Lore! Hidden Crafting Recipes: 1/3 Listen To My Plan, Brothers. This will activate the Items, XP, and Loot Reward Quest: Hidden Crafting Recipes.

Barrier Three

From there, keep heading down the hallway that curves around. Eventually, you will reach another Barrier. Defeat the appropriate enemies (or all of them) to progress.

Gate Button One

Before you pas through the gate in the next area, head for the glowing glyph at the end of a long hallway. Press it and then head back.

TIP: From here you could glide over to the next button, or you could open the gate behind you and finish up the path you were on for more loot. If you chose the second option, you’ll eventually reach the spot where you started.

Middle Path

The middle path of this side leads to a room with a single coffin-chest.

Left Door

Pass through the left door and a gate to reach a line of rolling, flaming boulders. In the middle at the far end is a grapple spot above the boulders. Head up to escape the fire.

Next up is to climb a grated wall. Then, jump and glide to a swinging spot and hookshot from there to a landing on the other side. If you fall, you’ll have to do it all over again. Then, pass through another gate and keep going until you reach that glowing yellow glyph at the end of a long hallway.

Gate Button Two

Smash the button to open the way forward.

Middle Door

Pass through the middle door and you’ll eventually reach a revival spot. From there, you’ll have to open a large gate. Keep going, and you’ll have a mucky mountain to climb.

Climb up and you’ll reach another large door. Pass through, and you’ll reach a hallway leading to a large room with several floating Barrier Keystones.

Barrier Three

There are chests scattered throughout the area, but I’m going to focus on getting you to the next area. I wish you well in your hunt! Oh, there are 8 of them in this area, by the way.

Keystone 1

Run straight ahead to nab Keystone One.

Keystone 2

Head to the left of the first pillar. There will be two grapple swing spots above you. Use them to nab the second one.

Keystone 3

Similar to number 2, there is a Keystone on the other side that also has two grapple swing spots.

Keystone 4

To the back right, from the entrance, is a cave. Head inside, kill what you gotta kill, and nab the Keystone.

Keystone 5

Similar to number four, this one is located in a cave spot in the front right.

Keystone 6

Heading across the way (front left), you’ll see a skull type formation. Head inside the cave for Keystone 6.

Keystone 7

Head to the back left for this cave system. Once again, the Keystone is inside.

Keystone 8

It’s the final Keystone, du-nuh-nuuh-nuuuh! Du-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuuuuh! It’s the final Keystone! For this area… And it’s in the middle-ish of the ground level of this area.

Sparkling Dark Crystal – Artifact 3/3 Revelwood Hollow Halls

From the same spot where you started, head straight west until you reach a dark spot beneath a lantern. Along the wall, straight ahead, is a secret door. Once inside, head to the back wall where a second trap door hides the Artifact you seek.

Beyond The Third Barrier

Once again there is a revival spot and a door to open. Head up and to the left for a door that leads to a nifty chest.

Basement Floor Three

Now head to the door that was on your right for a hallway leading to a downward slope with toxic slime. Dodge the slime and make it to the bottom. Keep going until you reach another revival spot.

Pass through another door. For treasure, head to the left and through the door. Mind the skeleton spawners outside the room!

Basement Floor Four

To proceed forward, take the left path – from the revival room from before. Now it is time to descend once again! But not with a fun teleporter. Mind the sludge! Well, mine it, too. If you happen to miss the grapple spot as you slide downward, there is a grate wall you can climb to the right on the bottom level. It’s a pain with all those spiders, so try not to miss the grapple spot. From there, you’ll have another slide, and you’ll have to dodge some holes in the ground. Then it’s off to a large room with several chests. For expediency, I didn’t mark all the chests. Simply head for the door to reach another revival spot.

Head straight back from the revival spot for a chest behind a large door. Then, take the right path (from the revival spot).

Next up is to head down some slimy stairs.

Left Door – Red Marble Block

There will be two doors. The one on the left has a silver chest containing the Red Marble Block, which is also in my Bonus Block category.

Right Door

This leads to a revival spot, just before the big boss.

In the next room, it doesn’t matter if you go up the left or the right stairs. They’re set up the same. Use the grapple bit to fling yourself up and into the Cyclops’ lair for a death match. When you win, the barrier will come down. Loot the body to complete part three of the quest.

Final Loot

Hop down a level and you’ll find a coffin chest and the exit portal. Then head back to your base.

Craft And Place The Press

At your base, talk to The Collector, craft the press, and place it to finish the quest!

Finding Hollow Halls Artifacts

Reaching Level 12 unlocked the dialogue “Collecting Magical Artifacts” from The Collector.

This will also unlock the Hollow Lore: The One Eyed Beasts 1/1 Information About The One-Eyed Beasts dialogue. The first of the three artifacts can be found deep within the Revelwood Hollow Halls. Feel free to use the full walkthrough of that area with The Collector Quest: Ectoplasm Press For The Collector.

TIP: This quest is also closely tied to the exploration of the other two Hollow Halls as well as the Hollow Lore: The Emptiness Sets In 3/3 I Curse Thee, Flame and all three of the Hidden Crafting Recipes 1/3 Listen To My Plan, Brothers, 2/3 Let's Redecorate!, 3/3 If Mother Was Here.

The Nomad Highlands Hollow Halls

Once you complete The Collector Quest: Ectoplasm Press For The Collector, you will have the dialogue option "Nestled Underneath The Nomad Highlands" with Alden Crowley. Crafting the key will complete the first part of this quest.

TIP: This quest is also closely tied to some Hollow Lore and Artifacts. No worries, I'll point them out along the way!

Key crafted, it’s time to head to the Nomad Highlands Hollow Halls! Entering will complete the next step in finishing the quest.

Take the teleporter down to the first basement level to begin the dungeon dive!

Basement Floor One

Head past the respawn point and go up either set of stairs. There will be a gate followed by a long hall with more stairs leading down. The bottom will T-off. Head right first.

Forboding [sic] Golden Urn – Artifact

Once more, you’ll encounter that ominous red door. Open the secret compartment to reveal a tiny room. You’ll want to look up, and maybe try jumping, too, to reach the grapple spot. On the next level, you’ll find your first artifact in this dungeon along with a Silver Chest.

Floor Between Floors

Head to the door at the other end of that T intersection. Going beyond that, you’ll have a hallway leading to a giant pit. Don’t just glide all the way down! You’ll want to stop at each level for hidden goodies!

Bejeweled Golden Urn – Artifact

Roughly the second major landing has a room in the back southern corner. You’ll find a glowing sarcophagus as well as your second artifact in this dungeon.

Basement Floor Two

Time to descend!

Ectoplasm Block

This little block gave me some trouble, but only because I caught fire the first time. A simple glide works best here, but you can take a bridge over to it and then climb up the metal mesh wall. Either route you choose, I wish you luck! For more Block pieces from quests or inside of quests, check out my Block Quest Walkthrough page.

Barrier One

As you may have noticed from the fall, the next area contains five Barrier Keystones. I started at the spirit barrier for a reference point.

Keystone One

Straight out from the exit is one floating on an island surrounded by glowing red lava.

Keystone Two and Three

Looking Right from the exit, you can see a zap trap. Climb the big boulder and grapple up to the landing. Time your passage through the trap, and then grapple up to the next level. Once there, you’ll be able to jump / glide to collect your two rewards.

Keystone Four

This time, head left from the exit. You’ll have a grapple spot up followed by a climbable wall. Inside the tower is the prize you seek.

Keystone Five

From that same spot! – Head out the left side and grapple upward again. Head over to the glowing Keystone. You’ll have to jump over the chasm below, and then there is a grapple spot to pull you over to the final prize. Boom! Barrier defeated!

Beyond The First Barrier

Beyond the first barrier is a resurrection spot. Open the door beyond that to continue onward. The area leads to a dead-end, save for a gate on your left. Taking that, you’ll encounter stairs that lead further downward.

Basement Floor Three

This next part has a bunch of spiders. If you have fireball, I suggest blasting the area to clear it of pests first.

Before you go too far, take a left turn. There’s a “hidden” doorway there. If you didn’t look back, you might miss it. There is one on the right, too, but only the left one has a chest. Once you’ve looted the Silver Chest, its onward again!

Right Path OR Left Path

Once again, your path comes to a T. I chose the right path to explore first, but they are both the same.

Middle Path

This is the important one! Before continuing onward, head inward as you seek out treasure!

There’s a secret door back theeeeeere!

Descend for a Gold Chest, but wait, there’s more!

Oh, what’s this? A SECRET DOOR! It’s near the throne at the back of the room. Or, just smash all the bookshelves until you find it.

Inscribed Golden Urn

And there it is! The last treasure in this dungeon, the Inscribed Golden Urn. Picking this one up, for some reason, activated parts of The Collector’s Quest: Finding Hollow Halls Artifacts.

Onward

Now that those sections are cleared, it’s time to keep going.

For this + intersection, I went left (westward) first. I discovered very little, so I check out the right side next. It surpassed expectations!

Left

Right

The right half will lead to a Gold Chest and a piece of Lore.

Hollow Lore

Glide down for the Hollow Lore: Hidden Crafting Recipes 2/3 Let’s Decorate!. Then it’s back to the main chamber and down some more stairs.

Basement Floor Four

That’s right! More stairs leading downward. When you reach the bottom, head through the door for a revival spot. Then, it’s onward again… right into another spirit barrier. This time, there are twelve of those Barrier Keystones to find.

Barrier Two

Keystone One

Starting from the entrance, this time, head left toward the first pillar. There will be a grapple spot on the other side.

BONUS

Next up is the second column in that row. While it doesn’t have a Keystone, it does have a trap door with some treasure inside.

Keystone Two

Going after the next column in the row, you’ll find ladders inside going upward. Climb them and snag another Keystone.

BONUS – Bejeweled Golden Urn

The next column doesn’t have a Keystone, but it does have a secret door! And this one has stairs leading up to a second Bejeweled Golden Urn.

Keystone Three

The final column has a grapple spot that is visible from the secret door in the previous location.

Keystone Four

The next column over from that had nothing, so moving on toward the next center column, I took the teleporter up.

Then I had to dodge some rolling fire boulders and work my way around to another teleporter. That one put me in position above the next Keystone.

Keystone Five and Six

From where I landed – from the previous Keystone, I spotted two low lying Keystones. I managed to glide for both.

Keystone Seven

Then it was back up to the same tower. I jumped over more flaming boulders, this time on the right side (northeast) and made my way to another teleporter. Then I jumped for my goal.

Keystone Eight

Then it was back to the ground floor and the pillars to the right of the entrance (northeast). The first tower had an easy grapple spot. One quick jump later and it was on to number nine!

Keystone Nine

The next pillar had nothing, but the one after that had an easy grapple spot and another quick jump.

Keystone Ten

True to form, the next column had nothing, but the next one had a simple run up the side of a mound to reach the Keystone.

Keystone Eleven

Then it was time to make it back to the middle teleporter and head up again. There were more flaming boulders, another teleporter, and then a Keystone jump.

Keystone Twelve

The last one eluded me for a bit, but I found it! From the entrance, head straight for that middle tower teleporter. Then, head over the flaming boulders on the Southeast side. Then head for a teleporter on the western side. From there, you’re just one jump away!

Beyond The Second Barrier

There’s a revival spot, of course, and a door waiting for you. Once again, the intersection comes to a T, but the left side doesn’t have anything, so head right. There are steps leading down.

Basement Floor Five

Left VS Right

There’s a swinging section ahead. If you take the left path, you’ll have a chance at a high-level chest that is above where you would land normally, should you choose the right path. From there, they’re basically the same.

Landing of Enemies

You’ll come to a landing with enemies and two rooms. Neither room offers much, so I kept going, and going, until I reached a big door. Naturally, it had a revival spot behind it.

Boss Fights

Barrier Three

Alright! You’ve made it to two boss fights, as evident by the barrier, which you’ll see after taking the teleporter to it. Next up, pick a side to start on, and defeat the boss to start unlocking the barrier. I chose the right side first.

I like the right side because you can land on pillars easily enough, and then you can blast enemies and spawners from safety up top. I did that for a bit, but I’m not 100% sure it worked this time – could be an update fix. Anyway, to start the real fight, hop down and press the button. Doors will open, enemies will stream out, and you can lure them onto the trap floors to slowly kill them while you focus on the cyclops. His weakness is his eye. I wish you luck!

Next up, head over to the teleporter. At the top, glide over to the left side and do it all over again, but this time with flaming boulders instead of spike floors. Don’t forget to collect loot!

Beyond The Third Barrier

With the barrier down, you can now head back up top via the teleporter and collect your main prize!

Looting the chest completed the quest for me. Then it was time to head back for more quests!

The Kindlewastes Hollow Halls

Once you complete The Collector Quest: The Nomad Highlands Hollow Halls, you will have the dialogue option "Bones Buried Under Sands Of Time" with Alden Crowley. Crafting the Kindlewastes' key will complete the first part of this quest.

I would suggest making the journey to the Kindlewastes Hollow Halls via a glide from the Ancient Spire – Kindlewastes Fast Travel.

TIP: While there are artifacts and a new set of armor here, there is also one piece of Hollow Lore: Hidden Crafting Recipes 3/3 If Mother Was Here.

Once inside, you’ll complete the second part of this quest.

Head straight in and keep going past the gate until you reach the teleportation pad. From there, head down to the next level.

Basement Floor One

First up is a revival spot, yay! Then it’s through the gates! Take the first left you come across or you’ll end up at a dead-end with some foes to face.

Basement Floor Two

Time to head down further as you go deeper into the dungeon. There are enemy spawners here, so be ready to fire away! At the end of the stairs is a door leading to the next area.

At the end of a hallway you’ll come to yet another drop down.

Basement Floor Three

Barrier One

Hop down for your first barrier of the dungeon, plus a large battle!

First Barrier Down

Once you defeat all the tougher enemies, because they’re the ones with those Barrier Keystones over their heads, the barrier will go down.

Tome Of Agony – Artifact

Before moving on, do you remember that view from above?

To reach the hidden door, you will want to land on that left patch of dry land (also accessible from the battle arena. The broken fencing on the right side is your way back up). Then, look for the spirit barrier doorway. That will be how you can orient yourself when you are down there. The hidden door is to the right of it / eastward.

Head down the stairs into a dark area. My torch broke, so yay me! But the red glow of the Mysterious Tome Artifact should help guide your way.

Elite Hollow Helmet

There is a large coffin chest in the room, but behind the gate is a dark opening in the wall. Head through there and up a pile of rubble for a golden chest and the Elite Hollow Helmet loot.

Continuing On

From there, just cross the bridge and head down the hall to another revival spot. Then, it’ll be time for another jump down.

Basement Floor Four

Once you jump, be careful of hanging beams. And be sure to land on the first ground spot (not the rafter, unless you want to). There is treasure underfoot!

Secret Doors

Once you find the opening in the wall, head for the “secret” door at the back of the hall. As you enter, there is a Silver Chest to your right.

Bound Tome – Artifact

To your left is the first artifact in the dungeon.

Mysterious Tome – Artifact

To the right of the Bound Tome is a secret door hidden by vases. Then follow the stairs down and to another secret door. If you fall, you may die…or nearly die. So be careful.

Continuing On

Head back to the landing and continue onward by following the silver glow.

Barrier Two – Boss Battle

Gotta love those middle-of-the-dungeon min-boss battles!

Elite Hollow Gloves

Before you leave the area, look up at the western wall. There are two glyphs up that that will open the door leading to a Golden Sarcophagus. Inside, for me anyway, was the Elite Hollow Gloves. It seems like this dungeon has all five pieces of the armor, so keep your eyes peeled!

Beyond Barrier Two

Don’t forget to loot the big cyclops mini-boss before you leave the area! Beyond the barrier is a revival spot.

From there, head right, or eastward. This will take you toward closed doors at the end of a hallway.

Elite Hollow Boots

Past the doors is a Golden Sarcophagus with the Elite Hollow Boots inside.

Heading back the way you came, head westward this time and away from the revival spot. There will be a gate on your right with some floating enemy skulls. They guard the passageway down.

Basement Floor Five

After descending the stairs, there will be some battles, but mostly you’ll be taking a straight path through a gate and then some doors.

Once past the doors, you’ll soon come to an outdoor area. Keep going straight here, too.

After passing through the gate, you’ll have a right turn followed by heading up more stairs. Get ready for stairs, because this is a tower.

Eventually you’ll reach the room below, which is full of enemies. I bet you know why…

Barrier Three

It’s a room full of skeletons and their buddies, and they don’t want you to make it past. But, they die…again…anyway. Then it’s beyond the door!

Beyond Barrier Three

Once the enemies are slain, head on out the door!

Next up is grapple, climb, grapple as you make your way up the broken stairs to a revival spot. And you’ll want the revival spot before tackling the room with zappy death traps!

Lastly, it’s time to fly again, this time to a different tower.

Basement Floor Six

Upon landing, ignore, temporarily, the battle waiting you in the next room. Instead, stay outside and climb on the Mycelium and follow it around the curve of the building until you reach a glowing golden chest.

Elite Hollow Pants

Ta-da! Now head back inside for that battle!

Switch For Lore

Before leaving, be sure to hit the glyph above the door you entered under. That button will open the gate that lets you obtain the Hollow Lore: Hidden Crafting Recipes 3/3 If Mother Was Here.

Next up, stairs! Then a climbable wall, then…

Barrier Four

Be careful not to get too close to the gated edge or you may attract two blue draconian vultures. It’s a challenging battle without the brutes biting everything on their way to you.

Beyond Barrier Four

Head outside for another grapple spot followed by making your way to a long chain of swinging grapple spots as you travel under a bridge.

Bound Tome – Artifact

When you make it to the other side, you may notice a grapple spot on the ground to your right. Hop down and keep close to the wall. There is an overgrown section covering some stairs. Hack through and you’ll reach a room with the Bound Tome Artifact. If you continue up the stairs, there is also a Silver Sarcophagus.

Onward And Upward

Make your way back up the way you came down. Then, it’s time for another grapple spot and then a climbable wall. After that, you’ll come to a landing with two directions to go.

Hollow Lore

To the right is the final piece of the Hollow Lore: Hidden Crafting Recipes 3/3 If Mother Was Here. Remember that Switch For Lore before? The gate will only be open if you activated that first.

Basement Floor Seven

Next up is a revival spot, and then, another jump and glide to another level. Then, another revival spot, which is convenient!

From there, head through the ominous archway toward, you guessed it, a boss battle!

Boss Battle and Barrier Five

You’ll be up against two Hollow Cyclops followed by one Fell Syclescythe and a Fell Banshee. I was lucky and one of the Hollow Cyclops became stuck early on, so I just had one to deal with. Then, the Fell Syclescythe and Fell Banshee lady don’t come out until those other two are defeated.

Beyond Barrier Five

Head through the doors the Hollow Cyclops came through for Silver Sarcophagi.

Final Loot

Head through the doors the Fell Syclescythe and Fell Banshee came through for a Gold Sarcophagus.

Elite Hollow Chest Plate

This will give you the last piece of armor. And it will complete the quest.
