Why "Caffeine is my Muse"?

Written by Sarah-Maree

Before I get too far, I should probably explain where I came up with the idea for the title of my blog. Caffeine is my Muse came from an idea I had after reading a sign in a store that said:

I don’t have a problem with Caffeine, I have a problem without it!!!

I bought the sign because it resonated with me. Mostly in that I love Mountain Dew and Hot Chocolate. I don’t drink alcohol, but whenever I have any caffeine, I get to be…tipsy. With all the sugar, however, I have cut back on drinking either of them. I tried tea, but it didn’t feel right when I kept adding more and more sugar just to make it palatable. That was when I found out about Water Joe. As the name suggests, Water Joe is water, but it has caffeine! The caffeine is about as much as a cup of coffee, or a cup of Joe. Hence the name, I’m pretty sure.

Now, whenever I need a caffeine boost to wake me up in the morning, or to get me past the afternoon slump, I drink Water Joe. Without the sugar, I don’t feel so bad about all the caffeine, and it really does help me stay productive.

Anyway, I loved the idea of the sign so much that I ended up making a sign of my own. I changed the words to match more of how I felt about caffeine and came up with the words: Caffeine is my Muse. Then, when I needed a blog title, just a few days after burning the words onto a piece of barn-wood, it somehow seemed right that I should name it after my muse. And that’s how my blog earned its title.
