The following is what I have for Nomad Highlands Lore in Enshrouded. NOTE: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - I won’t share Lore content, but the titles may give things away, and the photos may reveal things. For an overview of what the heck I’m talking about, click here! Since I found most of these, they won’t glow red in the pictures, but they should glow red, like a fire, for you if you haven’t discovered them yet. If not, I’m sure the game developers would appreciate any feedback or hearing of any glitches, bugs, or malfunctions as this is an Early Access game - in that it isn’t fully finished and they are still working out some things. Nomad Highlands

Rumors Of The Dragon Cave

1/3 The Fearsome Dragon

This Lore is located in Surat’s Rest. It is on a table out in the open and is relatively easy to spot. It’s an easy grab and go. Simply pass through the fog at the entrance, go over (or under) the wooden bridge, and it is located on a table to the left.

2/3 The Renowned Dragon Sword

This Lore snuck up on me, particularly as I had already cleared the area back when the game first came out. You can find this piece at the top of the Inner Sanctum. It’s in one of the tents.

TIP: Since you’re already here, feel free to snag your first, or spare, Masonry Tools. As such, this Lore pairs nicely with the Carpenter Quest: Finding Masonry Tools.

3/3 Dragon's Maw

Talk about easy! This one is a simple glide down from the Ancient Spire – Nomad Highlands Fast Travel. There are plenty of enemies at this Scavenger Outpost!

TIP: This Lore is also located directly across from the Nomad Highlands Lore: Mixed Sandstone Blocks 1/1 Brick By Brick. It’s down in a building straight ahead. Reading it will start the Building Block Quest: Mixed Sandstone Block.

Mixed Sandstone Blocks

1/1 Brick By Brick

The location for this one is a easy breezy glide down from the Ancient Spire – Nomad Highlands Fast Travel. It’s located at a Scavenger Outpost inside a building with a hole blasted through the side. You can reach it from a roof spot via a ladder. Obtaining this Lore will start the Building Block Quest: Mixed Sandstone Blocks.

TIP: This lore is located very close to the Nomad Highlands Lore: Rumors Of The Dragon Cave 3/3 Dragon’s Maw and The Honeydews 4/4 A Good Trade, My Friend!.

TIP: Location has the Bard Quest: Rare Instruments.

Amber’s Final Resting Place

1/2 A Chosen Grave Site

To reach this Lore, you’ll pass the second piece first (2/2 Our Dearest Amber). Starting from the Shroud Root in Jasper Isles in Umber Hollow, smash down the spores blocking an open doorway. Go straight through the first room and then turn left at the open area to see a grave. Interact with the gravestone to obtain the Lore.

Quick Disclaimer: I destroyed the Shroud Root so visibility would be easier.

2/2 Our Dearest Amber

From the Shroud Root in Jasper Isles in Umber Hollow, head through the spores blocking an open doorway. In the first room, turn left. In the next room you’ll find the Lore resting on a table. Keep going if you're looking for the first piece of Lore: 1/2 A Chosen Grave Site.

Rotting River

1/1 Downstream Of Something Foul

Located in Jasper Isles in Umber Hollow. Cross the bridge from the Shroud Root. There is a note on the bulletin board.

TIP: Across from this Lore is a scroll on a bench (Letter From Rochelle Anders 1/2 To Father).

Lake Of The Nomad Highlands

1/1 Creation Of A Lake

Upon entering Jasper Isles in Umber Hollow, go bust down a door to your left. Inside is a table with a book to read. Quick Disclaimer, I did destroy the Shroud Root, so some things may appear differently for you.

The Pillars Of Creation

1/3 Vukah Inscriptions

This is located in an unmarked camp, so that’s fun. Near the Pillars of Creation is a Flame Sanctum. East of there, on a lower portion of the mountain, is a small camp. The Ancient Spire - Kindlewastes Fast Travel can be seen WAY in the distance as you enter the tent (not sure if that helps or not).

TIP: Reading this Lore will activate the Items, XP, and Loot Quest: The Pillars of Creation.

2/3 Noises!

This one is located on a table just outside of a Flame Sanctum in the Pillars of Creation region. You can follow the road from the first note to reach this one, easy peasy.

3/3 Soothsayer Found

I still remember my angst in locating this one. It’s at the Flame Sanctum, the same location as the previous Lore - The Pillars Of Creation 2/3 Noises!. Head to a busted wall, western side, inside the building and look up. There’s a grapple spot that goes to a golden chest. Inside is the item you seek: Soothsayer.

Captured By Lupa

1/1 They Terrorize The Roads!

This one is a bit tricky to find in Lupa’s Lair, but that’s what the guide is for! The location is a bit of a flight from the Ancient Spire - Nomad Highlands Fast Travel, but it works. Once you’re in the lair, head left until you reach the corner of the main building. When you look at it, you may notice a breakable door. Smash it in, and then smash the one behind it too. Inside is a skeleton with the pages of Lore.

TIP: Quests in the area: Items, XP, and Loot Reward Quest: Robert Gibson Needs Help, Hunter Quest: In Need Of A Tanning Station, & Building Block Quest: Mixed Stones - Regular Stone Block.

TIP: Be sure to pick up the Scavenger Lore: Tanning Station 1/1 Tanning Station Recipe. Ruined Bridge - you had to cross the bridge to reach the lair, but you may have missed this General Lore: Mixed Stones 1/1 Where’s the Material?.

“Nursery Supplies”

1/1 Mind The “Nursery Supplies”

At Surat’s Rest, take a left through an Enshrouded cave. It’s a shortcut up to a room with barrels. Keep left as you come out and around the corner will be a ladder up. Straight ahead will be the table with a Lore scroll on it. This will start the Items, XP, and Loot Reward Quest: “Nursery Supplies”.

Conway Brothers

1/3 Rafa,

The location of this one is the Trade Outpost “Blazing Rock”. It’s located near Umber Hollow in the Nomad Highlands region. The fast travel tower makes this one simple enough to reach, so long as you have the stamina and Updraft skill (under assassin). Reading this is part of the Blacksmith Quest: The Blacksmith’s Request.

Upon entering the camp from the western side, simply head for the bulletin board and you’ll find this Lore posted there.

TIP: Head left of the board to the tents for a piece of Vukah and Wildlife Lore (Vukah Encounter 1/2 Fierce Creatures).

2/3 Fine, I Admit It

Location is Conway Camp in Umber Hollow. For this place, there were two methods I used to get here. The first is to glide in from Ancient Spire - Nomad Highlands. The second is to exit Jasper Isles (screenshot 2), which is a little ways away, and leave the trail. Head straight, but veer to the right. Basically, you just want to get up a hill, and you can walk up above the camp (no jumping required) and then hop down into it. Reading this is also part of the Blacksmith Quest: The Blacksmith’s Request.

Once you reach the camp, head into either tent for the Lore. The tent with the silver chest has this Lore. The other tent has the next piece of Lore (3/3 Nightwatch) Lore.

3/3 Nightwatch

Following the steps from the second piece of Lore in this series, head into the tent with the lame, regular chest to find this Lore on a table. (The other tent had the Lore 2/3 Fine, I Admit It.) Reading this is part of the Blacksmith Quest: The Blacksmith’s Request.

As Above So Below

1/2 Umber Hollow Rumors

Besides being an easy glide down from the Ancient Spire - Nomad Highlands Fast Travel, this one is pretty straight forward. Head to the Jasper Isles, in Umber Hollow, and defeat the Shroud Root there (or skip it). Then, head straight back, bust down a door, and read the pile of paper on the table.

2/2 Crimes Of Surat's Rest

In Surat’s Rest (southeast of the Ancient Spire - Springlands Fast Travel), from the main entrance, head straight back toward the tall trees. You’ll pass a different Lore to your left at one point (Scavengers - Caravan Raid - None Can Fool Me). Past the trees, take the corridor to the right. Eventually, you’ll reach a building with two tall openings and there’s a glowing note to read on a table inside.

Tavern Complaints

1/1 The Night Is Ruined!

This Lore is located in Surat’s Rest. It’s easiest to see it at night as the glow can be seen from rooftops. It’s also located near the Nomad Highlands Lore: The Honeydews 1/4 The Band Is History.

A Quick And Simple Fix

1/1 My Backup Plan

This Lore can be found at Fanning Ranch. It pairs nicely with the Blacksmith Quest: The Blacksmith's Family. From the spot where Rochelle’s soul is, head straight back and to the building on the left, the one with the red shingle roof. Inside the far stall is the lore you seek.

Pit Fights

1/1 A Fearless Woman

This Lore is located in Surat’s Rest, back inside the rafter’s area of the arena. It’s easier to spot at night as the book rests among the benches up top.

Cat Naming Problem

1/2 We Have To Choose!

Reading this Lore will start the Items, XP, and Loot Reward Quest: Cat Naming Problem. Currently (November 17, 2024), there is no name for the location where this Lore can be found. It is located in a destroyed town East of Pikemead’s Reach. After reading the Lore (on a bulletin board), head toward the Scavenger Ruins a little North of the unnamed place for the second piece.

2/2 Headquarters Of Captain Whiskers

At the Scavenger Ruins nearby, there is a sign on a building, which is the second piece of the Lore.

TIP: Also here is the final part of the Items, XP, and Loot Reward Quest: Cat Naming Problem.

Lupa's Hounds

1/1 Where Are Her Dogs?

Raven’s Keep is where you can find this Lore. Reading it will start the Items, XP, and Loot Reward Quest: Lupa's Hounds. You don’t have to go inside to get it! Out in the open is a bulletin board about the missing hounds. Spoiler, there is only one hound to find, so if you’re like me and pepping ahead, only craft one bed, not two. Oh, but don’t forget the bait!

TIP: Raven's Keep also has Scavenger Lore: Raven’s Keep Log 1/1 Raven’s Keep Log, Prison Break 1/2 No Better Than Us! and 2/2 Glory To Matron Lupa!, and Sister, Sister 3/3 I Will Reach You.

Echoes Of Ikko

1/5 He Echoes All Throughout

All 5 pieces of this Lore can be found at the Abandoned Watchtower, located southeast of Raven’s Keep. The papers are located on a table on an upper floor of the tower.

TIP: This location is also part of the Items, XP, and Loot Reward Quest: Lupa's Hounds.

2/5 Ikko #2

All 5 pieces of this Lore can be found at the Abandoned Watchtower, located southeast of Raven’s Keep. This piece is located on the roof of the watchtower.

3/5 Ikko #3

All 5 pieces of this Lore can be found at the Abandoned Watchtower, located southeast of Raven’s Keep. This note is pinned to the cage without a dog inside.

4/5 Ikko #4

All 5 pieces of this Lore can be found at the Abandoned Watchtower, located southeast of Raven’s Keep. This note is pinned to the cage WITH a dog inside. (Opposite of Ikko #3)

This Lore is currently glitched (November 12, 2024) and does not show up in the Journal, even after reading it. Anyway, to reach this Lore, hop on Ikko #4’s cage with the grapple hook and make your way up to the grave, which is also visible from the top of the tower.

The Honeydews

1/4 The Band Is History

This piece of Lore can be found in Surat’s Rest on the roof of one of the buildings toward the center of the town.

2/4 Time For A Rebrand!

This Lore is located at a Vukah Outpost in the Nomad Highlands. You can find it on the third floor of the middle most section of the outpost.

TIP: Below this Lore is the Ornate Harp, which is part of the Bard Quest: Rare Instruments.

3/4 Something Called Me Here

This Lore is located at Myrtle Tombs, which currently (November 13^th, 2024) does not have a map marker. The Lore is on a wagon in front of the entrance to the tomb.

TIP: Also at this location is the Hollow Lore: A Brother's Confession 1/1 My Confession.

4/4 A Good Trade, My Friend!

The final piece of this Lore is located at a Scavenger Outpost in the Nomad Highlands, just south of the Ancient Spire - Nomad Highlands Fast Travel. You can find it in a secret room located under the main portion of the tower. Dig or blow up the area to locate it or the ladder leading down to it.

TIP: Also located here is the Nomad Highlands Lore: Mixed Sandstone Blocks 1/1 Brick By Brick, Rumors Of The Dragon Cave 1/3 The Dragon's Maw, and The Honeydews 4/4 A Good Trade, My Friend!.
